Quad-Core devices are becoming cheaper locally, especially that brands release their "high end" series. Arc Mobile, Cherry Mobile and Torque offer the cheapest quad-core Android phones to date. All of which are using the power efficient MediaTek MT6589 chipset clocked at 1.2GHz, PowerVR SGX544MP GPU coupled with 512MB of RAM.

Below are the models and their corresponding specifications.

The cheapest among the trio is the Arc Mobile Nitro 450QD at only PHP 5,499 it packs a better screen resolution but it has the lowest battery capacity. Its camera is also inferior compare to others which have 8MP. The Cherry Mobile Thunder 2.0 is the most expensive at PHP 6,299 and its advantages are having a bigger screen and bigger battery. The Torque Droidz Quad is quite balanced with specs almost similar Thunder 2.0 with a slightly lower price, the good thing about it is that it comes with a free screen protector and jelly case.
