After the recent announcement of MT6592 octa-core SoC, MediaTek surprise us again with their new chipset the MT8135. It uses a modified version of ARM's big.LITTLE architecture utilizing dual-core Cortex A15 CPU plus dual-core Cortex A7 CPU. This technology is similar to Exynos 5 Octa BUT the main difference is that all four cores can work simultaneously and can even fire up all at the same time.

MediaTek calls the technology of their new SoC, big. LITTLE MP, where MP stands for heterogenous multi-processing. It means that different arrangement of Cortex A15 and Cortex A7 can be made, for example, one A15 + two A7 cores can carry the workload.

Another highlight of the new chipset is the PowerVR 6200 GPU, which supports high-quality, low-power graphics processing that is FOUR times the capability of the existing series 5 GPU. It also supports OpenGL 3.x, OpenGL 4.x and Direct 10.1 along with CL 1.x, Renderscript and Filterscript.
