Today LG Korea officially announced the VU 3 (dropping the optimus in its name like the G2), the same month when its predecessor took the stage. Like the Vu 2, it retains the 4:3 aspect ratio but with a bigger screen (5.2 versus 5.0) and higher resolution of 1280x960.

The processor is a big leap, it sports a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset and support LTE-A connectivity, the camera is also upgraded from 8MP to 13MP. It will run on Android 4.2.2 with LG UX on top and features several software enhancements like Knock-On (double tap in screen to wake up), Guest Mode, Pop & Plug and Smart Link.

The stylus is still there but unlike the Vu 2 it is now integrated into its body. It also comes with an optional Quick View case which you can glance notifications without opening the cover.

It seems that LG has not giving up yet on its battle with its competitor, the Samsung Note series. Who do you think will emerge as a winner? Share your thoughts below in the comment section.
