In this digital age, personal cloud storage is becoming the mainstream in keeping important files since you have the ability to retrieve them anytime and anywhere you want as long as you have an internet connection. However, free cloud storage is only limited to a few Gigabytes spaces while subscribing to a paid service is quite expensive.
Luckily Western Digital, brings their latest products called My Cloud and My Cloud EX4 to the Philippines. Earlier today, they officially launched it at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Makati City. The former gives you up to 4TB of space while the latter boast a whooping maximum storage of 16TB.

Inside the My Cloud is a WD RED drive which is designed to be used for Network-Attached-Storage or NAS powered by a dual-core Cortex-A9 SoC. The EX4 on the other hand is a four-bay variant which has RAID support and powered by a Marvel 300 CPU.

Both NAS hybrids are easy to install and use with a very intuitive and simple interface. Once connected to the internet through its Gigabit Ethernet port you can now access them to any browser using its Web portal. You can also access them using smartphones via the Android client or the dedicated iOS My Cloud app.

The My Cloud and My Cloud EX4 are compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, OS X Maverics, Mountain Lion, Lion, Snow Leopard as well as devices with DLNA/UPnP capabilities. They are now available through the WD distributors and select retailers.
