| Cherry Mobile Flare S2, Quad Core With Sony Camera Sensor For Php4,699 |
The Flare series has come a long way, from dual core variants to quad core. The recent addition to its roster is the Cherry Mobile Flare S2.
The Flare S2 is the successor of the Flare S, they have same 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 4GB of ROM and 1GB of RAM. However, the newer variant comes with a slightly bigger screen (4.5-inch versus 4-inch). Cherry Mobile also boasts that its display has better color reproduction and consumes less power because of its IPS LCD with On-Cell touchscreen panel.
One complaint on its predecessor is the fixed focus camera and this is the part where the Flare S2 shines. It has a Sony IMX 179 camera module and if I am not mistaken is the same thing that can be found on the LG Nexus 5.
The Flare S2 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and has a price tag of Php4,699 or 200 pesos more than its older sibling.
