Time to shine, app developers. The 2014 WebGeek Philippines DevCup is fast approaching.
Over its first two editions, the DevCup has produced impressive results based on the number of participants and apps created. From its modest beginnings, the hackathon had 62 participating teams and 48 successfully created applications at the end of its second staging.
This year, the brightest minds in the Philippine app development industry get to showcase their prowess on August 16 and 17 at the Meralco Multi-Purpose Hall, Meralco Compound, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. As always, the most prestigious hackathon in the Philippines aims to showcase and improve the skills of Filipino developers in Information Technology.
With an every changing technological landscape, the DevCup by WebGeek Philippines also proves that Filipino app developers can adjust to the varying industry landscape in order to produce award-winning creations. The first and second editions of the DevCup has been won by Nikko Bautista and Mark Steve Samson respectively. Both have embarked on successful careers after their victories as Bautista is now a LinkedIn software engineer while Samson is now with Insync.
