|Epson: Top SE Asia Point-of-Sale Printer Manufacturer for Five Years|
According to the latest research by the International Data Corporation, Epson remains the top Point-of-Sale printer manufacturer in Southeast Asia for five straight years.
In 2013, the company had a 45% market share in the said region. In Singapore and Indonesia, Epson printers gained a market share of 61% and 54% respectively. In Thailand and Malaysia, Epson’s printers have a market share of 45% and 33% respectively. Finally, the company has a 37% market share in the Philippines.
Epson Southeast Asia Managing Director Koichi Endo says that their company is putting much effort in creating the best printers they can. Also, he added that being on top for five straight years poses as a challenge to keep on exceeding customer expectations.
A number of factors can be attributed to Epson’s continued dominance in the printer Point-of-Sale market in the Southeast Asian region. Aside from systems reliability, its dependable network and system integrators and unmatched customer support contribute to its success.
