|Fluke Networks Announced LinkWare Live, World’s First Cloud-Connected Cable Certification Tool|
Fluke Networks announced LinkWare Live, a free, cloud-based service that enables contractors, cable installers, and project managers to use a Versiv family of certified testers. This allows users to upload, manage, and analyze certification test results from cabling projects anywhere.
LinkWare Live works with DSX-5000, OptiFiber Pro, and CertiFiber Pro certification testers to optimize project management while maintaining contractor profitability by providing real-time testing results, extending expert support, and eliminating costly truck rolls for tester transport.
Based on a recent survey by Fluke Networks surveys of more than 1,000 cable installers who had a combined installation of 1 million links the previous month, dismal management of test results creates a significant drop in productivity and profitability. In fact, 83% of the respondents divulge that they have had at least one result management issues in a month.

One of the main reasons for such issues is that the average time for dealing with test result issues is 15.2 hours or almost two working days in a month because the results have to be brought to the office for verification. Likewise, project managers can struggle with manual results management. Since job sites can be far from testers, failed memory cards would lead testers to start from scratch. On the other hand, errors in results management can translate to lower profits and delayed payments.

But with LinkWare Live, results need not be transported. Rather, it just needs to be uploaded and the software will automatically organize the results. In effect, this would bring increased productivity, reduced work time, less errors or revisions, real-time exchange of data, and faster troubleshooting if need be. Furthermore, its advanced analytics can help companies of this nature land more projects.
