|Sony Computer Entertainment Unveiled Morpheus VR Headset|
During the recently concluded Game Developers Conference 2015 in San Francisco, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. unveiled a virtual reality system prototype that takes the PlayStation 4 gaming experience to the next level, the Project Morpheus.
The Morpheus VR headset is equipped with 5.7-inch full HD OLED display with 100 degree field of view and an impressive 120fps output that removes motion blur and flicker, which in turn provides the sense of presence to players. In addition, it also supports 3D audio, and has the ability to share the gameplay through external display such as TV.

It has a total of nine LEDs that are mounted all over the headset to improve 360 degree tracking accuracy. Sony also claims that they already optimized the overall system to reduce latency between the actual/physical movement and the screen reaction.
The SCE team will continue to develop the Morpheus headset until its scheduled consumer launched in the first half of next year.
