O+ Convertible Unboxing, Hands-on and Initial Impression

O+ USA is one of the recent brands that entered the Windows market in the country, particularly the 2-in-1 segment and their first ever offering is the O+ Convertible.

As the name implies, the O+ Convertible is a hybrid device that can be used as a tablet or a full-fledged notebook. It features 11.6-inch HD touchscreen display powered by Intel Atom processor with four CPU cores clocked at 1.33GHz each coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM. Windows users typically need bigger storage and O+ knows it very well, that is why they made sure that the tablet can accommodate up to 128GB of micro SD card. And if that is not enough, O+ is generous enough to include additional 500GB of HDD embedded in the keyboard dock.

In terms of connectivity ports, it has a total of 3 standard USB ports (2 in the keyboard and 1 on the tablet), a micro USB port and a micro HDMI port. Meanwhile, wireless connectivity includes Bluetooth, WiFi and supports for 3G dongle. Other known specs are 2MP main rear camera, 2MP front camera and 6,400mAh battery.

Based on our initial hands-on, it has a solid build quality inside and out. In terms of aesthetics, the metallic finish looks and feels quite premium. In addition, removing the tablet in the keyboard dock and placing it back is pretty easy and secure, thanks to its magnetic hinges.
