Check Point Software Technologies Limited, the world's biggest pure-play security vendor, through Mr. Steve McWhirter, its Vice President for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, launches in the Philippines the latest security solution for mobile devices, the Check Point Mobile Threat Prevention.
Check Point Mobile Threat Prevention is a security platform made for iOS and Android devices, it provides real-time protection against the most advanced mobile threats known today. It can detect threats in the network by monitoring suspicious activity or malicious behavior, in the mobile applications through high-level code analysis, and even on the OS level.

It is a great mobile security solution for enterprise as it can be deployed easily and quickly for up to 300,000 devices. In addition, it can also be cascaded and integrated through company's existing SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), MDM (Mobile Device Management) and EMM (Enterprise Mobility Management), making it a substantial option for mitigating risk brought by employees own devices.
It is not just about protecting the enterprise assets, the Mobile Threat Prevention was designed to protect the mobile users themselves from all sorts of threats and attacks. Thus, Check Point is also partnering with local telecommunications companies to bring this solution to individual consumers. Mr. McWhirter did not mention which telco, but since they already partnered with SingTel in Singapore, we bet it will be rolled out by Globe Telecom.
