|Chord Mojo Launches in the Philippines, Headphone Amplifier and DAC for Php30,990|
Chord Electronics, a British company that specializes in high-end Hi-Fi audio products, through Beyond Innovations Inc., its exclusive distributor in the Philippines, launched in the country their latest product that goes by the name Mojo.
The Chord Mojo or simply Mojo stands for 'Mobile Joy', a headphone amplifier and a digital-to-analog converter that delivers studio-grade sound quality for smartphones and other connected audio devices through Chord's advanced digital signal processing technology.
The Mojo is made from an aircraft-grade aluminum material with matte-black finish and crafted based on the award-winning Hugo platform (yes, Chord Electronics is the same company behind the world-renowned Hugo products). It has spherical buttons that change color depending on the sample frequencies of the input source, for example, red for 44.1kHz and white for DSD. Overall, it has a minimalist design and very compact in form.
On the inside, the Mojo uses a Xilinx Artix-7 chipset, it is a field-programmable gate array, an integrated circuit that can be configured, this allows expert Chord engineers to implement directly their own digital audio solution. The Mojo accepts almost all, if not all known music formats and containers, such as PCM, WAV, MP3, FLAC and DSD to name a few.
The Chord Mojo sells for Php30,990 and is now available in several JBL showrooms and other audio/music stores in the country. For more information, you can check their Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/ChordPhilippines
