|Dell Ranks 50 Future-Ready Cities Around the Globe|
Dell has been a strong market leader in the PC industry, and it has maintained its position for decades. Now, the company has recognized 50 cities around the world in the Dell Future-Ready Economies Model where metropolitan areas are tested for their attributes that can allow its society and organizations to access the new tools and ideas that keep them connected and help them perform better.
The cities have been ranked based on the following dimensions:
- Human capital: People in a Future-Ready Economy must be well-equipped to deliver a meaning social and economic change.
- Infrastructure: The infrastructure of a Future-Ready Economy must be able to support the people, businesses, and technology that enable progress over time.
- Commerce: Opportunities in a Future-Ready Economy must offer sustainability for businesses to accelerate innovation, growth and profitability.
The Dell Future-Ready Economies Model has been researched during the 2015 Strategic Innovation Summit by the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center at Harvard University in September 2015. What we have here is the second set of results from the model, with the first being released late last year in October where 25 cities in the United States were ranked.
