|Samsung Galaxy Note 5|
There have been a bevy of rumors surrounding Samsung's next flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 6, and it looks like the handset is going to skip its sixth generation with the idea of catching up with the S series of smartphones. Now, it seems there's more to it as reports now suggest that Samsung is indeed adding an Iris Scanner to the Galaxy Note 7.
According to recent leaks through a beta software, Samsung will be equipping the next Galaxy Note with an iris scanner. Furthermore, Korean manufacturer Patron has won a bid to supply all of the sensors Samsung will need. According to reports, the company has already won the bid several months ago, and it will be the only supplier for the iris scanner.

Iris scanners are capable of recognizing 266 traits of an iris, whereas a fingerprint scanner can only recognize 40. This would mean that the former will prove to offer a far superior accuracy and security.
There's still no official statement as to what Samsung's upcoming flagship phablet will equip under the hood. However, rumors point out that the company will be going with Samsung's homegrown Exynos 8890 CPU, a colossal 6GB RAM, and 256GB of RAM. But then again, these are still rumors and it's still best to take them with a grain of salt.
