If you’re rocking a Xiaomi handset, then you probably have been waiting for the company to push updates that will bring the stable version of MIUI 8 to your devices. Fortunately, that’s about to happen. The company will now be pushing the update via OTA (Over-the-Air) update for devices that are running MIUI versions 5 to 7.

Xiaomi has been pushing the beta version and the Developer Edition of MIUI 8 since the beginning of June until 17th of the same month to a limited number of users. And now, it seems that the company is finally ready to bring it to the masses.

Xiaomi will be rolling out the update by batches. First, the company will be pushing the updates to only 15 devices such as the Xiaomi Mi 5, check out the full list here:

  • Mi Max
  • Mi Note
  • Redmi 4s
  • Redmi 2A
  • Redmi Note 2
  • Redmi Note 3
  • Mi 4 China Unicorn
  • Redmi 1S
  • Mi2/2S
  • Mi 4i
  • Redmi Note 3G
  • Redmi Note 4G

After the rollout on select devices, the company will then follow up with the other handset models such as the Redmi Pro, Mi 4C, Redmi 3S, Redmi 3X, Redmi 2, Redmi 1S and other offerings.

MIUI 8 delivers overall improvements to the visuals and usability of the operating system, such as a design overhaul and a dual user interface, the Mi Bus payment, a much more intuitive calculator, addition fonts, shortcuts and a slew of other upgrades.
