|Singtel Innov8 Kickstart Ventures Invites Local Startups For Up To $75,000 Seed Money|
Following the success of its first edition last January 2016, Kickstart Ventures is once again inviting local start-up companies to participate in the second Innov8 Connect. For this round, Singapore Telecommunications, Limited and its Australian partner Optus have identified 14 new business challenges in areas like artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things to name a few.
These are the challenges that participating startups must address and they may submit their proposals through the Innov8 Connect website until 31 October 2016. Chosen startups will have a chance to pitch their ideas to a panel comprised of representatives from the Singtel Group management.

From the pitch sessions, the startups with the best solutions will be given seed money of up to S$75,000 to operate and validate their business solutions in close tie-up with SingTel and Optus. Successful solutions can then be offered for the Singtel Group’s extensive customer base that reaches around 600 million subscribers across the African, Australian, and Asian continents. Aside from that, co-investors from Innov8 Sparks can pitch in their funds to expand the operations of the promising startups.
Kickstart Ventures is a founding member of Innov8 Sparks which is the start-up funding and support network of the SingTel Group in Southeast Asia. At present, they have 27 portfolio companies under their wing, which cater to various industries such as SaaS, Healthcare, E-Commerce, Financial Services, and Digital Lifestyle to name a few.
