|Epson Launches Moverio BT-300 in Southeast Asia; World's Lightest OLED Smart Glasses|
Wearable technology enthusiasts in Southeast Asia will now have something to look forward to with the launching of the Epson Moverio BT-300. These binocular smart glasses feature silicon-based OLED digital display to make it lightweight but dependable. It is also equipped with micro projectors which enable transparent displays of digital content in its field of view.
The Epson Moverio BT-300 also has spatial positioning to detect the distance of objects from each other and tracking sensors that can read dimensions. This Epson wearable smart glass can also record HD-quality photo and video without hand operation through its five-megapixel camera that also has an LED that lights up when the camera is recording.
The powerhouse of the Moverio BT-300 is a quad core Intel Atom processor and Android OS 5.1 that allows the operation of your favorite apps and the storage of recorded files. Though this is about 20% lighter than its predecessor BT-200, it can be used heavily because of its battery life that can last up to six hours on full charge.

Epson has also partnered with DJI to make the Moverio BT-300 operational with their industry-leading drones via the DJI Go App. With this combination, drone operations will get clear first-person views of the drone’s flight while maintaining line of sight. Furthermore, this smart device is ideal for other tasks such as remote field service support, warehouse management, and museum tours. Because of its ingenuity, this Epson device was named the Best New Wearable Device at the IDTechEX Wearable Europe Awards 2016. The Epson Moverio BT-300 will be available in the Philippines by the first quarter of 2017.
