Globe Telecom, Mynt, and Cebuana Lhuiller signed a memorandum of agreement that will bolster financial inclusion in the Philippines. Signing the partnership were G-Xchange President Albert Tinio, Globe Telecom President and CEO Ernest Cu and Cebuana Lhuiller President and CEO Jean Henri Lhuiller. Mynt is a Financial Technology start-up owned by Globe.

In the said partnership, Cebuana Lhuiller customers will now be able to perform remittance transactions through GCash in any of its 1,800 branches across the country. Also in development is a rewards points program for both Globe and Cebuana Lhuiller customers as well as the development of donation channels for the chosen beneficiaries of the latter. The agreement will also give rise to the cross-selling of Cebuana Lhuiller’s micro-insurance product.

Furthermore, GCash accounts will also be enabled to pay Fuse loans and to accept international remittance. Real-time posting of Globe Bills and the reselling of the mass market postpaid product Globe AMAX are also included.
