|18.4-Inch Nokia Tablet with Snapdragon 835 Processor Spotted on GFXBench|
It has been a long time coming, but the Finnish brand eventually made its huge comeback with the launch of the Nokia 6, which was sold out a minute after it went officially on sale last January 19. We haven't received any word yet on its local availability, but apparently, HMD Global, the company holding its rights, wants to hold the momentum with the release of yet another device, a significantly huge 18.4-inch tablet that comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset.
Yes, you've read that right. Nokia appears to be building a new tablet with a display that is probably bigger than the screen of the laptop you're using right now. As pointed out by GSMArena, HMD apparently wants to go head-to-head with Samsung's Galaxy View with this one.
The specifications of the new Nokia tablet appeared on a recent GFXBench listing, showing that it's going to sport an 18.4-inch display with a resolution of 2650 x 1440. Inside, you'll find a powerful 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset complemented by an Andreno 540 GPU, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Other specs included in the listing are its Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC capabilities. It will have a single SIM slot with support for 4G LTE, and we can expect it to have 12-megapixel main and secondary cameras that can record 4K videos. It will run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
