Bosch, a leading global supplier of technology and services, showcased promising innovations that feature the Internet of Things (IoT) in the recently concluded CES 2017 in Las Vegas.

First off is a concept car that has face recognition technology that set its steering wheel and other settings to the driver’s preferences. This car has a touch display and innovative gesture control system for improved communication between the driver and the vehicle. It also comes with Bosch Central Gateway that provides capabilities for watching video and cloud-based video-conferencing. Moreover, it is equipped with a parking spot locator that detects gaps between parked cars.

Next is the Bosch Smart Home System, which allows people to do multiple functions at home via a single app. Even if you are not in the house, this application will let you turn off electrical devices or lights. It is also equipped with security features that will keep burglars out. Routine scenarios can also be accessed via a tap of a finger while smoke detectors also check air quality in case a fire breaks out.

Aside from a smart home system, Bosch also unveiled the Mykie personal assistant, which is operated via voice recognition. It helps perform a number of chores and gives answers to a wide range of questions such as the daily weather and the contents of the refrigerator. Mykie can also be patched up with a number of Home Connect household appliances to perform several tasks at once.

Bosch, together with Mayfield Robotics, also introduced Kuri the Robot which has sensor cameras, loudspeakers, and a microphone. It can interact with people and take note of all the routes within your home. It can customize its interaction for people of various ages like playing music for kids or notifying parents if their child is safely home after school.

In the field of manufacturing, the APAS robot ushers in efficient manufacturing by performing various tasks. It is also equipped with sensor skin to detect if a person gets too close. This robot assistant will certainly boost Connected Industry 4.0 with its quick and flexible solutions.
