|Samsung Teases New Exynos 9 Chipset|
Samsung appears to be gearing up for an upgrade with its latest teaser image that shows what can possibly be the new Exynos 9 chipset.
Samsung posted the teaser image on its official Samsung Exynos Twitter account with the caption "Be ready for #TheNextExynos." Clearly, the South Korean tech giant is hinting at its next offering.
If Samsung is indeed revealing a new chipset, we'll soon be seeing the successor to Samsung's Exynos 8 octa-core processor. We're expecting the chipset to power Samsung's latest S8 smartphone, which is said to be launched sometime in March.

Previous reports claim that the S8 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. If that's the case, then Samsung might be building two versions of its upcoming smartphone, depending on which part of the world it will be released.
A few months ago, we've seen a leaked image pointing to a new Samsung processor called the Exynos 8895, with two versions: the 8895M and 8895V. But, it seems like Samsung decided to go for the Exynos 9 name. If our hunch is right, the Exynos 9, like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, will be manufactured using Samsung's own 10nm process, and it might be clocked at up to 2.5GHz.
Based on our speculations, we're expecting Samsung to officially reveal the new Exynos 9 chipset at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain.
