According to Jovy Hernandez, SVP and Head of PLDT and Smart Enterprise Groups, their ambition is to "define the new standard in enterprise experience" and their collaboration with Cisco is just the first of the many synergies they are building to redefine this experience.
PLDT's initial collaboration with Cisco expands its portfolio by incorporating Cisco's 4000 Series Integrated Service Routers for wide-area networking and Cisco's Meraki for connectivity performance.
In addition, both companies agreed to work hand in hand for foster-enhanced collaboration and enforce greater network protection within the Philippine enterprise market through Cisco's upcoming platform and endpoint security portfolio called Umbrella.
Currently, as Eric R. Alberto, PLDT Chief Revenue Officer and ePLDT President and CEO, stated, PLDT currently manage nine data centers with a fixed and wireless network that now spans 150,000 kilometers of fiber optic cables running throughout the country.
