OPPO is finally giving three of its devices, namely the F1s, R9 and R9 Plus, the Marshmallow treatment. The Chinese company has started rolling out the Android update in Australia.

A Marshmallow update may sound a bit behind since there's already the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system that is currently available in the market. This update for OPPO, however, is quite big, as the F1s, R9, and R9 Plus were all launched in 2016 with only the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

Even the recently launched F3 Plus still runs on Marshmallow, anyway.

With the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, all three OPPO models are expected to have smarter batteries greater control, and with overall improved performance.

According to OPPO's Australian website, users of the R9 and R9 Plus, who are upgrading to the latest version of the ColorOS will allow their devices to have a dual-SIM function with 4G+3G connectivity.

We still have no information when the system update will reach our local shores, but we're hoping for it to arrive soon.
