Samsung is releasing an update to the Galaxy J3, and the 2017 version is said to sport an Exynos 7570 chipset and will run on Android 7.0 Nougat.

The Galaxy J3 (2017) with model number SM-J330F recently visited Geekbench showing Samsung's Exynos 7570 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. The listing also reveals that it will come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Previous leaks showed Qualcomm's Snapdragon 430 as its chipset, but it appears that Samsung might have had a change of heart or they'll actually be releasing two versions of the device.

Way back in May 2016, the 2017 version of the phone has already made the rounds at certification authorities such as Wi-Fi Alliance. It is said to come with a 5-inch 720p display with a 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front snapper. There might be a chance that the final unit will have better specs, though, particularly in the camera department.

To at least match the 2016 model, it might come with an 8MP camera on the back and 5MP on the front, as well as a 2600mAh battery or a better 13MP/8MP camera setup.

There's no word yet when the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) will be launched, but it can be released sooner than expected.
