Apple iPhone SE (2017) Leak Shows Glass Back and Vertical Rear Camera Setup

If the latest leak from China is actually true and accurate, then Apple might be releasing the 2017 version of its iPhone SE device as early as next month.

The new leak shows the back of the alleged iPhone SE placed on top of a sheet of paper that states Ion-X Glass, the same material being used on the Apple Watch Sport. It appears that Apple will be switching from metal to glass for its upcoming device.

Apart from the glass finish, another notable change on the Apple device is the alignment of the camera and flash. They are now aligned vertically with the camera located above the flash.

The original 4-inch iPhone SE was launched in March 2016, and it was considered to be Apple's cheapest iPhone. In March this year, Apple didn't release a new version of the device but instead launched an updated variant with bigger 32GB and 128GB storage capacities.

There's no official information about the 2017 iPhone SE yet, but there's a possibility that Apple will unveil it at the WWDC event that is set to kick off on June 5. The event is where Apple will officially announce the new versions of iOS and macOS, as well as a Siri-based smart speaker.
