Samsung Notebook 9 Pro with Built-In S Pen Debuts at Computex 2017

Samsung has revealed the new Notebook 9 Pro at Computex 2017 in Taiwan, ushering in a new laptop device that comes with a built-in stylus pen and can be used as a laptop and a tablet.

Unlike the previous versions, it now has a 360-degree hinge that is similar to the Yoga laptops from Lenovo, allowing it to be used as a laptop as well as a tablet. In addition to that, it now comes with a built-in S Pen.

The S Pen, which is located at the base of the Notebook 9 Pro, conveniently placed under the keyboard, is very much similar to Microsoft's Surface Pen, with a 0.7mm tip that is claimed to have the ability to detect more than 4,000 levels of pressure. It also comes with Samsung's Air Command feature for drawing, taking notes, and editing documents and is compatible with Windows Ink workspace.

The Notebook 9 Pro is available in 13.3- and 15-inch models. Both models sport a Full HD (1920 x 1080) touchscreen display and are powered by Intel Core i7 processors with 256GB of SSD storage. The smaller variant will come with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and an Intel HD Graphics 620 chip, while the larger one will have 16GB of RAM and a dedicated AMD Radeon RX 540 graphics chip. Both runs on Windows 10.

In terms of ports, Samsung's latest notebook will sport one USB Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI, and a microSD slot. It also comes with a Windows Hello camera at the front.

Samsung hasn't released the pricing and availability for the Notebook 9 Pro yet, but it is announced that it will be available in Titan Silver color.
