Vivo has inked an agreement with International Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) to be the exclusive smartphone sponsor of the 2018 World Cup hosted by Russia, and the following event in 2022 to be held in Qatar.

The agreement stated that the global smartphone brand will sponsor the said sporting competition for six years, which will cover two tournament cycles. With this partnership, the brand is very positive that the world cup will take them into a new level in terms of global publicity.

As part of the arrangement, Vivo logo will enjoy its appearance during every match on field advertising boards, event tickets, press release backdrops, and other key promotional areas. Also, FIFA staff is expected to use Vivo smartphones on-site and the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017, starting June 17.

Aside from wanting to strongly associate itself with FIFA, according to VIVO Senior Vice President Ni Xudong, their company is also looking forward to showcase their creativity, joyful, and international brand image to consumers worldwide.

Meanwhile, Vivo confirmed that they will soon introduce a FIFA World Cup customized smartphone to give consumers and fans an upgraded football experience.
