Google Pixel XL (2017) Early Render Shows Sleek Figure with 6-Inch Display

Google Pixel XL (2017) Early Render Shows Sleek Figure with 6-Inch Display

Google's 2nd-generation Pixel XL is well on its way to becoming available in the market. If the newly leaked render indeed shows an accurate look of the 2017 version of the device, then soon we'll see a new model with a sleek figure that flaunts a 6-inch AMOLED display.

In an exclusive reveal made by Android Police, an early render of the next Pixel XL was published alongside some of its possible features. It is said that it will come with an LG-made 6-inch AMOLED display with a 2:1 ratio, minimal bezel, and rounded corners. And, although it will come with a flat screen, its 3D glass effect makes the display look slightly curved.

At the front of the device, as shown on the render, there's the wide speaker grille at the top beside the front-facing camera. The presence or absence of a headphone jack, however, is still unclear at this moment. In addition, the report mentioned that the new phone will have a "squeezable" frame similar to HTC U11. Users will be able to squeeze the handset to access functions, such as Google Assistant.

The curved rear of the Pixel XL 2, on the other hand, reveals a glass area on top similar to the original Pixel XL, but smaller. Also noticeable is the single camera lens with LED flash. Meanwhile, the fingerprint scanner is now mounted below the glass area rather than in it.

The 2nd-generation Google Pixel XL phone is expected to be launched before the end of this year, most likely alongside its Pixel siblings.
