HTC U11 Launches in the Philippines for Php36,990; Boasts Amazing Camera, QHD Display, SD835, 6GB RAM

A few days ago, HTC, in partnership with Lazada, has re-launched its products in the Philippines, which also marked as their official comeback in the local scene. During the event, they unveiled a total of four devices, one of which is their current flagship handset, the HTC U11.

The HTC U11 sits at the top of the new U family, and deemed as the successor of last year's HTC 10. It comes latest innovation from HTC, which is the Edge Sense, a standout feature that let users execute specific tasks like snapping a photo by simply squeezing the sides of the phone. You can also customize how hard you need to squeeze before the phone can recognize the requested action.

It also boasts another HTC feature called Sense Companion, which debuted on the HTC U Ultra. It is a personal companion assistant that keeps learning about the things the users do every day. One example given during the event is a reminder to charge your phone when it is almost getting low on battery, and you still have a meeting or task to do later on that day. It also suggests different things based on your location, such as telling you the nearby restaurants or other interesting places. Just in case, HTC also includes two other digital assistants, namely Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

In terms of hardware, you will get the best in the market as you'd expect from a high-end Android smartphone in 2017. It is equipped with the fastest Qualcomm chipset, the Snapdragon 835, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has a 5.5-inch Super LCD 5 panel with QHD resolution and topped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It also comes with USB Type-C port, dual band WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS, and LTE connectivity with up to 1Gbps speed. It has no 3.5mm audio jack, but an adapter is included in the package.

Meanwhile, the camera department employs amazing sensors, there is a 12MP UltraPixel module on its back with f/1.7 aperture, optical image stabilization, and can record videos up to 4K resolution or slow motion in 1080p at 120fps. The main shooter, according to DxOMark is the highest rated smartphone's camera with a score of 90, yes, it now sits number 1 in the chart. On the other hand, the front-facing snapper is equipped with a high resolution 16MP system with f/2.0 aperture and capability to record 1080p videos.
