Phantom 4 Advanced Vs Phantom 4 Pro: 4 Must-Know Differences

DJI has released a slightly altered version of the Phantom 4 Pro, which is simply named Phantom 4 Advanced. It is almost the same as the Phantom 4 Pro but there are subtle differences that need to be pointed out.

The Phantom 4 Advanced still has a premium build with a magnesium and titanium alloy body that gives it a very light yet durable build. Battery life is no problem too, as the Advanced has a 30 minute flight time giving their users a chance to maximize its aerial imaging capabilities.

The Phantom 4 Advanced is supposed to be a more affordable version of the Phantom 4 Pro meaning it had to cut some corners to provide a lower price range while maintaining professional levels of aerial imaging.

Here are 4 Must-Know Differences of the Phantom 4 Pro and Phantom 4 Advanced:

1. Flight Autonomy System - The Phantom 4 Pro has a 5-direction obstacle sensing capabilities with 3 sets of visual system to avoid obstacles upfront, behind and even below the aircraft plus 2 infrared sensors on both sides. The Phantom 4 Advanced, on the other hand, only has sensors in front and below it.

2. Live View Working Frequency -  The Phantom 4 Pro can choose between 2.4GHz or 5.8GHz in order to maintain clear signals even in places with strong radio interference.

3. Price - The Phantom 4 Advanced is priced (in the Philippines) at Php73,200 (USD1,430) with a standard remote control and Php91,500 (USD1,790) if you opt in for the Plus version that a high luminance display remote controller. The Phantom 4 Pro, on the other hand, sells for Php91,500 (USD1,790) for the standard version and Php109,800 (USD2,149) for the Plus version.

4. Weight - The Phantom 4 Advanced is lighter than the 4 Pro. They have a 20 grams difference in this department.
