The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 is one of the most, if not the most powerful mobile chipset today. It has 8x Qualcomm Kryo CPU, with 64-bit architecture and speeds of up to 2.45GHz. It also has the Adreno 540 for a more immersive gaming and graphical activities. It is certainly meant to be one of the best in mobile productivity and is commonly seen in flagships in 2017.

1. Sony Xperia XZ1 (Php39,990 - USD785) - The Xperia XZ1 is one of Sony's flagships this year. It has 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage and is running Android 8.0 Oreo. It also has a 19MP f/2.0 Exmor RS w/ Motion Eye, Hybrid AF, SteadyShot and dual tone LED flash. The battery is 2,700mAh that supports Quick Charge 3.0.

2. HTC U11 (Php36,990 or USD725) - The HTC U11 is their comeback phone in the PH. It has a 5.5-inch QHD SuperLCD5 Display, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage and it is running Android 7.1 Nougat. The camera is a 12MP f/1.7 with Dual Pixel AF, OIS and dual tone LED flash on the back and a 16MP f/1.7 selfie camera. It also has 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.

3. OnePlus 5 (Php25,990/Php29,990 or USD510/USD590)- The OnePlus 5 is OnePlus's 2017 flagship killer. It has a 5.5-inch FHD Optic AMOLED display, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage and Android 7.0 Nougat. It has a dual camera setup with 16MP f/1.7 Sony IMX398 + 20MP f/2.6 IMX350 sensors at the back. The selfie camera has a 16MP f/2.0 Sony IMX371 sensor. It has a 3,300mAh with Dash Charge 4A.

4. Asus Zenfone 4 Pro (Php39,995 or USD785) - ASUS is not late for the Snapdragon party with the ZenFone 4 sporting a Snapdragon 835 Soc as well. It has a 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED display, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage and Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The dual camera setup at the back has a 12MP f/1.7 Sony IMX362 + 16MP Sony IMX351 sensors. The front camera on the other hand has an 8 MP f/1.9 Sony IMX319 sensor. It also has a 3,600mAh battery as well.

5. Sony Xperia XZ Premium (Php45,990 or USD895) - The premium offering from Sony (Pun intended!), the Xperia XZ Premium packs a punch. It has a 5.5 inch 4K HDR Triluminos display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. It has a 19MP f/2.0 Exmor RS camera out back and a 13MP f/2.0 Exmor RS sensor. It is running Android 7.1 Nougat and supports LTE connectivity. The 3,230mAh battery supports Qnovo Adaptive Charging.

6. Nokia 8 (Php29,990 or USD590) - Is the latest flagship device from HMD global, it sports a 5.3-inch display with Quad HD resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. Like most top of the line smartphones today, it has dual rear cameras, which are both 13MP sensors with two separate ISP for monochrome and RGB. Other specs include 13MP selfie snapper, 3090mAh battery, USB type C port, and runs on Android Nougat.

These are some of the most powerful smartphones today. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC is definitely a powerful chipset that allows these smartphones to achieve innovative feats.
