Cherry Mobile has come up with its best smartphone yet – the Flare S6 Premium Limited Edition! Unfortunately, they really meant its “Limited” tag, as only 500 units were made, and the device isn’t available at any local store yet.

PACKAGING:

Although it’s the most premium device of the Flare S6 series, the Flare S6 Premium shares similar box for packaging with other Flare S6 devices, but what’s inside revealed its difference.

Inside the box, it has the Pump Express 2.0 USB wall charger, micro USB to USB Type-C cable, micro USB to USB Type-C adapter, earphones, SIM ejector tool, protective case, and paper documentations.

PHYSICAL:

The local manufacturer is really upgrading its game! The Flare S6 Premium – a non-retail device – is the brand’s most premium-looking smartphone yet. The device flaunts a unibody metal shell that has smooth round edges. Matched with thick black antenna band design, it has a sexy red colored design that could probably steal attention.

The device’s face is dominated by its 5.5-inch full HD IPS screen. Above the panel, its 13-megapixel selfie shooter, speaker, and LED flash are placed.

Meanwhile, its home button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner is located below the screen. Just like other Flare S6 handsets, it also uses on-screen keys for navigation.

Its volume rocker and power/lock button are sited on the right side of the device, while its SIM tray is alone on its left portion. The 3.5mm audio jack port is positioned on top, while its bottom part accommodates its USB Type-C port and two speaker grills.

Not impressed yet? Then, flip the device on its back to see how premium the device is. Its 13-megapixel dual rear cameras are placed at the upper left side of the device. You’d see its LED flash beside it, as well.

This model won’t be tagged as a limited-edition smartphone for nothing, as the brand decided to put the owner’s name on the bottom part. Thumbs up?

LIMITED EDITION

INITIAL IMPRESSION:

So far, the Flare S6 Premium is receiving good insights from us. The device perfectly sits on our hand, and its size isn’t awkward to enable one-hand usage. All of its buttons are thoughtfully placed where we can easily reach it. They worked well, too.

Its 5.5-inch full HD IPS display is giving us an initial good viewing experience. We just felt like the brand could go for an 18:9 screen display since it’s a premium smartphone, isn’t it? We’re not having any issue right now with its display, but we need more time to see its actual performance, as it only scored 5 on multi-touch test.

Its battery and cameras are also teasing us with great performance, too. With this, our team will post initial photo samples soon!
