A few days ago, LG has unveiled its next generation flagship, the much anticipated LG G4. The launch was held simultaneously in London, Paris, New York, Istanbul, Singapore and Seoul.

The LG G4 packs a 5.5-inch IPS Quantum Display, which, according to them offers 20 percent greater color reproductions, 50 percent greater contrast and 25 percent brighter. It has the same Quad HD resolution with the LG G3, but it now employs AIT or Advanced In-cell Touch wherein the LCD and the touch sensor are combined into a single layer.

In terms of design, consumer can opt to choose between a plastic back cover with 3D patterns or the more premium handcrafted genuine leather that undergo a vegetable tanning process. The back also has a subtle curve, which gives a more comfortable handling and offers 20 percent more durability.

The LG G4 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset having 6 CPU cores, 2 of which are Cortex-A57 core clocked at 1.8GHz each and the remaining 4 are Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.44GHz each, combined with Adreno 418 GPU. It also comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.

LG gives special attention to their flagship's cameras, the main one at the back utilized a 16MP sensor and a f/1.8 aperture lens plus OIS 2.0 for better low-light performance and improved color accuracy. Meanwhile, those who loves to take selfies will be delighted with class-leading 8MP shooter. Both cameras are capable of recording videos up to 2160p resolution.

In terms of connectivity features, most, if not all are covered - LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, Infrared and micro USB port with OTG function. It has 3,000mAh battery and supports wireless charging.

The LG G4 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with human-centric UX 4.0 on top. Google Office is also pre-installed and comes with FREE 100GB of Google Drive storage for two years.

It already started rolling out in South Korea and expected to arrive in the country this May or early June.
