Kata i4 Unboxing and Hands-on |
We first learned about the Kata i4 back in December of last year in the Kata Digital Hong Kong Facebook page. Two weeks after that, its Philippine counterpart opened a pre-order page and announced that it will be available in the first week of the following month.
The Kata i4 is the successor of the Kata i3s and the company's first ever octa core device. It sports a 5-inch IPS display with HD resolution, giving a screen density of 294 pixels per inch. On the inside, it is powered by MediaTek MT6592 processor with 8 CPU cores clocked at 1.7GHz each coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM. It is the biggest and the only Kata device to have that huge internal storage.
It also has an impressive 16MP main camera and an 8MP front facing shooter for selfies and video calls, the first of its kind in the Kata line-up. By the way, the Kata M3 also has this kind of camera configuration.
To know more about its physical characteristics, the contents of the retail package and other information, you can watch the unboxing and hands-on video below:

The Kata i4 has an aluminum frame and a uni-body design, it looks and feels premium, not to mention it has good and sturdy build quality. Since the back cover is not removable, the 2300mAh battery is not accessible to the user and you need an ejector pin to access the SIM card tray. Speaking of SIM, it only supports one card.
