Google Philippines Turned Into Crowdsourcing For New OFW Song

In an effort to honor our modern-day heroes, Google Philippines has turned into the power of crowdsourcing to create a song dedicated to millions of Overseas Filipino Workers around the globe.

The lyrics of the OFW anthem will be coming from Filipinos here and abroad and will be sung by five popular local bands and musicians, namely Ebe Dancel, Mikey Bustos, ItchyWorms, Kjwan and Sponge Cola. The song will be released exclusively on YouTube on September 1, just in time for this year National Heroes’ Day.

The victims of human trafficking will be the beneficiary as the donations will be used to build halfway houses for them.

To contribute, one must complete the line Miss Ko Na ___________. This corresponds to something that you miss the most about our country if you are abroad and/or about your loved ones if you are here in the Philippines.
