Hyundai Aero Arrives in the Philippines, Only 5.1mm Thin End To End |
Along with Gionee, CellPrime Distribution Corporation, the makers of CloudFone also secured a partnership with Hyundai, one of Korea's biggest conglomerate. Wait, what? Hyundai? Yes, you read it right, CellPrime will be the authorize dealer of Hyundai in the Philippines, but they won't be selling automobiles, instead they will be dealing with mobile devices and the first one to arrive is the Hyundai Aero.
The Hyundai Aero sports a 4.8-inch AMOLED display and has HD resolution that translates to about 306 pixels per inch. The screen is also fully laminated with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added strength and protection against accidental drops and the usual scratches.
Powering from the inside is a 64-bit Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 quad core processor that has four Cortex-A53 CPU cores clocked at 1.2GHz each combined with Adreno 306 as its GPU. Technically speaking, this is the same chipset found in Cherry Mobile G1, OPPO Mirror 5 and ASUS ZenFone Laser. Multitasking is handled by 2GB of RAM while apps, games and files can be stored on its 32GB ROM.
At the back of the phone, you will find an 8MP SONY-made camera accompanied by an LED flash while the front handles the 5MP selfie camera. The Hyundai Aero also comes with an NXP smart power amplifier and Dirac HD Sound. In terms of connectivity, the basics are covered, from micro USB port, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth, WiFi to 4G/LTE.
The specifications seem to be ordinary, but what is amazing about this Android Lollipop smartphone is its very slim waistline, which is just 5.1mm thin. If I am not mistaken, it is one of the slimmest (end to end), if not slimmest mobile phone in the world today.
The Hyundai Aero has a retail price tag of Php13,999 and will be available in the upcoming weeks.
