CloudFone Next Versus Elephone P9000 |
Just a few days ago, CloudFone has released its best smartphone yet, the CloudFone Next. It packs great specs with an attractive price point. However, there are also lots of devices out there with compelling SRP and similar features, one of which is the Elephone P9000. Read on after the break to learn more which of the two gives more value for your money.

Looking at the above table, the blue font means advantage of one device over the other. The CloudFone Next got three - it is more affordable, better 16MP camera and front LED flash. On the other hand, the Elephone P9000 also got three - it has NFC, the latest USB Type-C port and wireless charging, which also comes with wireless charger.
In terms of processor, the Next uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430, while the P9000 employs the MediaTek Helio P10, both have 64-bit octa core Cortex-A53 processor, but differ in clock speed and GPU. Their Antutu scores are at the similar level, which is around 44K to 46K. So, for this part, it is hard to tell who is the winner.
Of course, there are other factors that affect the decision of the buying public, such as design and brand perception. However, for this comparison, we will go with the CloudFone Next, the 1500 pesos price difference is a big deal. In addition, its main camera is better, not only on paper, but in real-world performance. Yes, the Elephone P9000 got its own aces, but, these are less important things that we (and we believe others also) can live without.
By the way, it is worth noting that Lazada, offers vouchers and discounts from time to time, wherein earlier this month it dropped the price of the Elephone P9000 for only Php8,990. If it will be the permanent SRP, our hearts could go the other way around.
