| Vivo Y55 Unveiled in the Philippines; 5.2-inch HD, Octa Core Snapdragon 430 for Php7,990 |
Late last month we wrote about the Vivo Y55 that leaks at TENAA, and just few weeks after that, it became finally official as well as unveiled locally by the Vivo Philippines team.
The leaked specifications of Vivo Y55 is spot on, almost, if not all information are accurate. It got a 5.2-inch HD display powered by a 1.4GHz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. In terms of imaging capability, the main one is equipped with an 8MP sensor accompanied by an LED flash and has a software trick that allows users to have 32MP photo. Meanwhile, the one in the front sports a 5MP camera with screen flash for better low-light selfie.

The physical measurements, weight, color and battery capacity are exactly the same with the leaked document. During the event, there was no mention about HiFi chip, but their marketing brochure indicates it can play FLAC file. The handset runs on Funtouch OS 2.6, which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It will be available in all Vivo stores, kiosks and authorized dealer nationwide starting October 28 for Php7,990
