Bit by bit, international brand Infinix Mobility has tried to win us over with its latest offerings. It recently launched the Zero 4 and Zero 4 Plus locally through Hellotronics. To make you even more familiar with this brand, we're giving you a quick look at the first of its two latest devices, the Zero 4.

The Infinix Zero 4 is now available at Lazada for Php11,990 in champagne gold and grey colors. It has already been released in a few other countries before our own, so we got totally excited to finally have a quick look at it.

The Infinix Zero 4, which comes in an aluminum unibody, definitely fits well in the palm of the hands. It sports a 5.5-inch IPS capacitive Full HD touchscreen display with 2.5D curved glass, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Despite our short time with the device, we can say that the display has got what it takes to deliver great visuals, with just the right contrast.

Also located at the front is the 8-megapixel secondary wide-angle camera with selfie flash. You won't be seeing backlit capacitive buttons on this device, as it already has integrated on-screen buttons on its very own XOS user interface.

Turn the device over and you'll see its 16-megapixel main camera with laser autofocus and LED flash. Infinix used a Sony IMX298 sensor for this one. Below it is the fingerprint scanner, with the Infinix logo underneath it. At the bottom is the Zero series branding. The only problem we had with this is that the rear camera protrudes, making it prone to scratches.

On top of the device is the lone 3.5mm headphone jack.

Meanwhile, at the bottom is the micro-USB port, placed between downward-firing speakers. You'll also find there the main microphone.

The left side has the dedicated slot for the micro SD card, so you won't have to sacrifice one SIM when deciding to increase your storage space.

The right has the dual SIM card tray for two micro LTE SIMs. It is where the power button and volume rocker are located, as well.

The Infinix Zero 4 is equipped with a 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.3GHz, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 128GB via micro SD card. This chipset was first introduced back in 2015, so the AnTuTu benchmark result with a 40,836 low score, is quite understandable. Infinix could use a more powerful processor, though, considering that there are more far better chipsets that are now available for the taking.

In terms of actual usage, the device performed smoothly, at least for a few minutes that we toyed with it. Although, for now, we can't exactly say if it would be consistently performing that well.

This device was branded as a camera-centric smartphone, same with its Zero 4 Plus sibling. Its rear camera, which is the main highlight of this device, has the same specs as the OnePlus 3 and Huawei Mate 8, except for PDAF. It got laser AF, Optical Image Stabilization, and dual-tone LED flash. The few sample shots that we took using the device appeared pretty nice.

The Infinix Zero 4 looks quite good. It surely is built for photography with its commendable camera specs. It seems like a good deal with a pretty decent price point, although the device could still be improved. Take the processor used on the device for example. Surely, Infinix could use a better chipset. All in all, though, we're positive about this device.
