Kata Philippines silently released in the market its second generation set-up box, which transform any regular TV into a smart Android TV, meet the Kata Box 2.
The Kata Box 2 boasts faster and better chipset, which is an Amlogic S905 that has 2GHz 64-bit quad core Cortex-A53 processor paired with a penta core ARM Mali-450 GPU, as opposed to the Amlogic S805 of the previous model that has 1.5GHz 32-bit quad core Cortex-A5 processor paired with quad core ARM Mali-450 GPU. The RAM remains 1GB, but the internal is now doubled at 16GB from 8GB.

The other improvements over the old variant are Bluetooth connectivity, and it now runs on slightly newer Android 5.1 Lollipop (Kata Box 1 runs on Android Kitkat). It retails for Php2,999 and comes with a FREE game controller or keyboard and mouse.
