| Xiaomi Mi 5X Now Official; Boasts Dual Rear Cameras and MIUI 9 |
After several leaks and rumors, Xiaomi has finally made the Mi 5X official at an event held earlier today in China.
The Xiaomi Mi 5X is a mid-range handset that packs respectable specs, it sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display powered by Quadcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of base storage. It boasts full metal body with smooth anti-fingerprint coating, light-rounded edges and discreet antenna design.
In terms of photography capability, it has dual 12MP cameras mounted on its back, which is a similar system found on the flagship Xiaomi Mi 6. Meanwhile, the front-facing shooter is equipped with a 5MP module for video calls, and taking selfies.
The other details include 3,080mAh battery, dual SIM with LTE connectivity, stand alone audio amplifier, and it will be one of the first Mi devices to boot with Xiaomi's proprietary MIUI 9 skin out of the box.
Price wise, it will retail in China for 1,499 Chinese Yuan (USD222) or about Php11.2K when converted to Philippine currency. This is the same SRP with the Xiaomi Mi 5C that was launched earlier this year.
