| PLDT Group Is Powering Up Geeks On A Beach Conference on August 24 to 25 |
Various units from PLDT Group are set to strengthen the annual tech conference Geeks on a Beach (GOAB) in Puerto Princesa, Palawan this coming August 24 to 25.
Presented by TechTalks.ph, PLDT Group eyes to power up local startup community by making them more competitive through the company’s innovative products and services – which are usually afforded by large companies with more budgets.
Aside from empowering enterprises and consumers with connectivity and productivity tools, the group also wants to help new startups with the right tools that will lead them to develop their idea, as well as expanding their businesses soon.

PLDT also believes that the upcoming conference will help the people of Palawan to raise the global competitiveness of local businesses, generate jobs, and grow their tourism industry.
“With Palawan being the venue for this year, the spotlight that this event will bring to this tourist destination also augments in helping strengthen the thriving economy with high-speed fixed and wireless fiber connectivity,” PLDT VP and Head, Core Business Research and Development Joey Limjap said.
Meanwhile, Palawan is enjoying super fast connectivity since 2014, through PLDT's fiber optic network, wherein the telecom giant has invested more than P1 billion in infrastructure.
