The smartphone market this year is packed with great mid rangers. Case in point, we are going to pit the Vivo V7+ against the Huawei Nova 2i. These are 2 of the popular picks when it comes to smartphones under PHP 20k. But, that is not all, both brands call their 'bezel-less' 18:9 screen as FullView display. Interesting, right? Huawei Nova 2i Pros - Better screen resolution at FHD+, faster CPU frequency, better WiFi with Dual Bands, NFC, bigger battery, and more affordable
Vivo V7+ Pros - Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, better GPU, has a dedicated SD card slot, has radio, HiFi audio, and Face Recognition
Looking at the table, we can say that this is a really close fight. Both smartphones are a great choice under Php20k. The Nova 2i is 3000 pesos more affordable than V7+, and if we consider only the numbers, Huawei has the advantage. However, knowing how aggressive Vivo is in promoting their products, they can easily level the playing field with lots of freebies and market push.
For the cameras, we really cannot tell which one is better unless we got extensive hands-on with them, as you know, Google Pixel 2 proven that you do not need a dual camera setup to be the best. So, we will leave this one open.
