We all heard about the deal between AT&T and Huawei are not coming to fruition. That is a surprising development since Huawei is now the third-largest smartphone vendor. Their Mate 10 series for one is some of the most advanced smartphones right now.

The AT&T debacle has a lot speculations on why it didn't succeed. The biggest thing that swayed AT&T's decision is allegedly political pressure. The US is being cautious about a supposed planned Chinese espionage and they felt that Huawei's effort to break into the US market is part of this.

Richard Yu relayed how he felt during the unscripted part of his keynote. His anger is expected and understandable as this was supposed to be Huawei's biggest announcement, especially since this year's CES is held at Las Vegas, Nevada. He is upset about the mistrust Huawei is being subjected to.

Yu feels that American consumers are the biggest casualty in this AT&T/Huawei problem. He said that the consumers are not given the chance to have the best and widest choice of smartphones if Huawei entered the US Market. It will give them a chance to give Americans to have another choice of high quality smartphones alongside Samsung and Apple.

He also relayed that Huawei has proven its credibility since they won not only the Chinese carriers' trust, but also the European and Asian carriers'.

It was a moment of unfiltered emotion. Words that are directly coming of Richard Yu's mind and heart.
