As with the tradition, both the flagships share the same traits with the bigger version offers slightly better features. The Samsung Galaxy S9+ has identical screen size and resolution with the Galaxy S8+, a 6.2-inch 18.5:9 Super AMOLED WQHD+ display. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for both its front and back.

On the inside, it is powered by the same chipset found on the Galaxy S9, the Exynos 9810 octa core chip based on a 10nm FinFET process. It has two clusters subdivided into four CPUs each, one half has 2.9GHz custom CPU and the other half with 1.9GHz Cortex-A55 CPU. In terms of graphics processing unit, it comes with a whopping 18-core ARM Mali-G72 GPU. The RAM is 6GB LPDDR4, while there are three options when it comes to built-in storage - 64GB, 128GB and 256GB.

One of the biggest differences of the Galaxy S9 Plus over the S9 is its rear camera set-up, the former is equipped with two modules, a 12MP shooter identical to the latter plus another 12MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The second camera offers added features, one of which is the so-called Live Focus that gives users a real-time bokeh effect when framing. The video recording capabilities remain the same, that is 2160p at 30fps and 720p slow-mo at 960fps. The front-facing camera is identical with the S9 too, equipping it with an 8MP f/1.7 snapper.

The 64GB and 128GB variant will be available starting on March 16 for Php52,990 and Php55,990 respectively. Meanwhile, the 256GB variant will come at a later date for Php60,990.
