Vivo NEX S Announced; Near Bezel-less 19.3:9 Screen, SD 845, 8GB RAM, and In-display Fingerprint Sensor!

First showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last February, Vivo has finally unveiled its APEX concept smartphone, which is now known as the NEX S – a flagship device that gives consumers a near bezel-less display experience!

The Vivo NEX S flaunts a huge 6.59-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 2316 x 1080 pixels, 19.3:9 screen aspect ratio, and a 91.24% screen-to-body ratio – a near bezel-less display experience for consumers.

To make this possible, Vivo has introduced an in-display fingerprint scanning technology that allows the phone to transform its entire bottom half into a fingerprint sensor. Really innovative, isn’t it?

In addition, it sports an 8-megapixel f/2.0 elevating selfie snapper, which rises in 0.8 seconds and hides after use. With this, the brand was able to eliminate the space occupied by conventional front cameras. Moreover, the entire FullView Display doubles as a speaker via SoundCasting Technology.

Inside, it is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor clocked at 2.8GHz, paired with Adreno 630 graphics. It is complemented with a large 8GB of RAM, which can be coupled with up to 256GB of internal storage.

Meanwhile, it is mounted with a dual-rear camera design, composed of 12-megapixel f/1.8 Sony IMX363 sensor and 5-megapixel f/2.4 shooter. It features PDAF focus, OIS, and LED flash. It comes with 4000mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging, as well.

The Vivo NEX S will be available in China beginning June 23, and is priced at CNY 4,498 or around Php37K (128GB), and CNY 4,998 or roughly Php41K (256GB).
