Sophos Rolls Out New Email Advanced Feature with Deep Learning Capability

Network and endpoint security company Sophos has announced the Sophos Email Advanced, the first ever email protection solution to have predictive security achieved through deep learning with active threat protection (ATP), anti-phishing email authentication, and outbound scanning and policy support.

A research by SophosLabs revealed that 75 percent of malware in an organization in unique to that specific group, meaning the attacks are zero-day. The only way to prevent the prevalence of this malware is through a deep learning neural network, a feature that Sophos Email sandboxing technology has. Through this, uncommon malicious files sent via email are quickly identified.

The new Sophos Email Advanced also has the Cryptoguard technology feature to help prevent ransomware before it actually gets into email inboxes. Another feature is the Time-of-Click protection which scans the URL when it gets clicked, preventing stealthy and delayed attacks.
