| Android 9 Pie Now Official; Rolling Out Soon! |
Aside from announcing the official name of Android P, Google has also revealed the features of its latest OS on its blog post. According to Google, Android 9 is designed to make your phone smarter by learning and adapting to your usage patterns.
One of its key features is its Adaptive Battery, which learns the apps you use the most and prioritizes battery for it. It comes with Adaptive Brightness, as well, which learns how you like to set the brightness in different settings, and it automatically does it for you.

Android 9 also boasts App Actions, which predicts what task you want to do next. “Say it’s Tuesday morning and you’re preparing for your commute: you’ll be suggested actions like navigating to work on Google Maps or resuming an audiobook with Google Play Books. And when you put in headphones after work, you may see options to call your mom or start your favorite Spotify playlist,” Google claimed.
Android 9 sports a new system navigation featuring a single home button, too.
Meanwhile, Android 9 Pie will start rolling out to Pixel phones. Smartphones brands who participated in the Beta program will soon receive an update, as well. These include Sony Mobile, Xiaomi, HMD Global, OPPO, Vivo, OnePlus, and Essential.
