INTRODUCTION:

Our team received a new Fitbit Versa to try on, and tapped as our main fitness tracker, we’ve experienced the things it could offer to users who usually have no time for workouts. Working as an ordinary watch, the device was able to push us, as it always reminds us to keep on track.

Moreover, tracking our health every now and then helped us to become more determined on achieving our fitness goals.

Without having to compensate your daily style, find out and see if the Fitbit Versa is your perfect fitness companion. Let’s dig deeper here!

PHYSICAL:

When we first met the Fitbit Versa, personally, it reminded me of the Apple Watch. In fact, there were times when my friends thought that I’m wearing one due to its squared screen with round edges. However, Fitbit was able to equip it with more stylish yet classy design. Comes with regular variant and special edition model, the device can be dressed with various striking straps. In our case, we luckily got a Fitbit Versa Special Edition that flaunts a charcoal woven strap complemented with graphite aluminum body.

Through this modern look, we’re able to track our health and be on style at the same time. Said to be the brand’s lightest smartwatch yet, the device flashes a “squircle” watch face design. Its left side accommodates its wake-up/back key, while its pause and finish workout buttons are placed on the right. Its back, on the other hand, houses its sensors.

Unlike when wearing a rubber strap, its woven band isn’t irritating most especially when our wrists became sweaty during workouts. We just felt like we always have to clean it up because it absorbs sweats. Other than that, its strap never failed to match our outfits even on our casual attire.

DISPLAY AND INTERFACE:

Jumping off to its display, we must admit that Fitbit has improved from this segment a lot. The Versa has vibrant and crisp touchscreen with brightness up to 1,000 nits. With that, we never had a problem viewing it even in direct sunlight. Also, we prefer to put its brightness on it mid-level.

Just like other Fitbit devices, users can still customize their watch faces. The Fitbit Versa loads the company’s latest OS 2.0 that offers a clean and user-friendly interface. Navigating the device is easy, as well.

Fitbit App

The Fitbit Versa is rich with health-centric features, including 24/7 all-day heart rate tracking, automatic stages tracking, and onscreen workouts. The device comes with smart features, too, such as quick replies, wallet-free payments, and on-device music. All of these worked well during our tests.

On its main menu, you can choose from various exercises such as Run, Bike, Swim, Treadmill, Weights, Interval, and Workout. For us, our favorite activity is running, and good thing, the device can accurately track it. We simply have to select the running tab, and go for a run. Then, its face will display our data including distance and time while working out. Finally, when we're done, the device will show a summary of our exercise.

Pairing up the Versa on our phone isn’t a problem, and since we have an existing Fitbit account, setting it up is smooth as well. What we like the most about it is that it helps us track our progress. Through the app, we can review our stats and achievements. This motivates us even more, and makes us more competitive and focused on our fitness goals.

Moreover, when not intentionally used for working out, the Versa will still track your activities. For example, I don’t usually have time to exercise, so as an alternative, I always tend to walk outdoor. With that, the device would simply notify me when I have already achieved my daily goal.

Also, if you are no longer cautious about your health, the Versa will be watchful for you, as it can intelligently detect your sleep, heart rate, calories, and water intake.

Fitbit claimed that the Versa can last up to four days on a single charge. However, our actual usage suggests that it could even last for a week. It wasn’t always connected to our phone, though. For me, it became a routine to sync it every night after workouts. Also, I just usually pair it when I could not use my phone every now then.

Meanwhile, it always took us almost two hours to full its stamina.

CONCLUSION:
