Globe Telecom Transforms Business Processes with SAP

Globe Telecom automates its business processes as they sign a three-year contract with SAP, a German-based multinational software corporation. With this contract, Globe can now have faster finance processes and real time decision making that could cope up with the fast environment in the company.

They have availed the S4/HANA business suite platform and Concur and Ariba Procure to Pay (P2P) service solutions to upgrade their business processes into a more flexible platform. Their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) will now comprise of an automated processes rather than manual processes.

Globe Chief Finance Officer Rizza Maniego-Eala expects to give a world-class internal and external customer experience with its partnership with SAP. The usage of S4/HANA is in line with the Globe's vision on creating an agile finance function, having real time information, and turning data into action.

On the other hand, SAP Concur wanted to lessen travel and employee expense process of Globe. This cloud technology will not only lessen the workload of the employees and expenses, but will provide information on spending optimization of the company. Meanwhile, SAP Ariba P2P will upgrade the transactions and relationships between Globe and its vendor partners from procurement up to the payment with its invoice processing solution.

Currently, their overall service revenue reached Php68.3 billion in the first half of 2018. These came from different revenue streams and the contract with SAP will indeed help Globe in managing all of these.
